Ketchup — From Fermented Fish to Tomato Classic
This storytelling reel was crafted by Al Masnaa for Mr. Potato, featuring Al-Douli bringing history to life. Few people know that ketchup didn’t start with tomatoes — its origins go back to Asia, where it was first made as a fermented fish sauce.
The video takes viewers on a journey through time, showing how the recipe traveled across continents until Heinz reinvented it in America with tomatoes, sugar, and vinegar — shaping the ketchup we all know today.
At Al Masnaa, we turn fun food facts into short-form content that is both educational and entertaining, helping Mr. Potato connect with audiences in a memorable way.
French Fries — The Belgian Story Behind a Global Favorite
This storytelling reel was crafted by Al Masnaa for Mr. Potato, featuring Al-Douli as he reveals the surprising history of French Fries. Despite the name, fries didn’t start in France — they were first made in Belgium when villagers, unable to find fish during frozen winters, cut potatoes into thin strips and fried them instead.
The video shows how American soldiers discovered this dish during World War I and, because French was spoken in the region, brought it home as “French Fries.” Today, it’s one of the world’s most loved foods — all starting from a Belgian twist on potatoes.
At Al Masnaa, we turn food history into engaging short-form content that entertains and educates, helping Mr. Potato connect with audiences in a unique way.
Caesar Salad — A Mexican Creation with an Italian Name
This storytelling reel was crafted by Al Masnaa for Mr. Potato, featuring Al-Douli uncovering the unexpected origin of Caesar Salad. While many think it’s Italian, the famous dish was actually born in Tijuana, Mexico, in 1924.
Chef Caesar Cardini, faced with a busy night and limited ingredients, improvised a mix of romaine lettuce, croutons, parmesan, eggs, olive oil, and garlic. The result became legendary, and guests named it after him — Caesar Salad.
At Al Masnaa, we turn timeless food stories into engaging short-form content that educates and entertains, helping Mr. Potato build trust and connect with audiences in a memorable way.
Green Hills Horse Club — Storytelling Meets Knowledge
This short-form educational reel was crafted by Al Masnaa for Green Hills Horse Club, blending storytelling and expert insight to answer a common question: “Do horses sleep standing up?”
